Ok, friends! Besides all the other tips and recipes I've shared this week, one of my favorite ways to support my immune system is with a relaxing bath using Epsom salts and essential oils. What ever brand you choose, essential oils are an important part of a natural health regimen and have powerful benefits for supporting the body.
My favorite essentials oils for immunity include:
Eucalyptus: Known for its ability to support upper respiratory health and break up congestion
Lemon: A powerful detoxifier, used as a lymph tonic to help move cellular waste out of the body during a cold or the flu
Rosemary: Provides a great boost to the immune system and can be helpful in loosening mucus clogging nasal passages and relieving sinus headaches
Oregano: One of the best all natural antibiotics because of its high carvacrol and thymol content
Check out two recipes below for my Epsom bath and after bath blend.
Immune Support Bath: 2-3 cups Epsom salt 4 drops clove essential oil 3 drops lemon essential oil 2 drops cinnamon bark essential oil 2 drops eucalyptus essential oil 1 drop rosemary essential oil
Optional after bath care [my favorite part!]: In 2 teaspoon of jojoba oil [or any other carrier oil of choice like coconut or almond oil], add 3 drops of oregano essential oil and 2 drops of frankincense essential oil. Massage into the soles of your feet then cover them with cotton socks to allow the oils to absorb.
